It always seems early rounds 3 thru 5 is a grind.

I think star players decision making could help this.

If their final decisions were spread out thru all the rounds, it would not only add some bidding wars but add a lil bit more strategy to FA. Right now ya pretty much gotta throw out your best bid in round one and hope for the best.

If its possible for a star to make his decision anywhere between rounds 1 and 5 it would not only keep GM's interest but it might make guys gamble a bit on when they think a sought after guy might sign. Do I need to show my cards early or wait and see what the market for him is going and risk missing the boat etc... Heck some might even wait til late FA to really throw a monkey wrench into the deal.

Anyways just some thoughts to keep GM's interest through all the rounds of FA.
