43 of my 45 Roster has had their contracts changed to one year and I am set to loose them in free agency!!

When I look at the team transactions, all the players except 2 were released and then signed 1 year deals at the last sim.
I had released 5 for this sim...

Their salary’s have changed as well to $303,234.

Were any of those moves ones that you did? Remember, the salary cap and roster count is enforced at every game stage, so if you cut and got below the minimum the AI will try to fix it. If it's postseason, you don't gain any cap room by cutting players, so if you cut players during postseason with limited salary cap available you are inviting trouble. Best rule of thumb is to always wait until the next season to make roster moves especially if you are out of the playoffs.

I only released 5 that did not effect the cap.

But did that take you below the minimum roster count?

Hi I had 46 players before I decided to release the 5.

What is the minimum rosta size?

The AI takes action if you are below 45. 46 is technically the minimum but you have a 1-player grace before the AI does anything.

So the AI try’s to sign other players but because there is not much cap room it releases all the others and signs cheap players on a one year deal.
Right, now I have a large dead cap and look forward to signing a new team.
I was looking forward to rebuilding this team.
I will stick it out now.
