So when I'm reviewing a game log, and I see that play X Y Z was overused! In other words I get the message that says I think the offense has gone too far with that play! So who's to blame, I understand that the head coach it's all about Playbook! And the offensive coordinator is his first commander-in-chief. is it a 50-50 split between the HC and OC responsible? Could someone please explain? And also offer some advice perhaps how to avoid a play being overused.

You are ultimately responsible - the way to prevent it is to make sure you have a good range of plays in each situation. Sometimes you'll get a dice roll series that will result in a play being overused, but you can push the odds in your favor by looking at the 'view plays' for each situation and ensuring that you have a good range of plays with high probabilities.
