Surely this kind of lack of game management on so many levels cannot be running as intended?

If you are within your normal FG range and a field goal will end the game, your coach will try to safely drain the clock instead of get closer. Does that describe the situation you were in?

That in no way explains why he didn't use TO's driving in the first couple examples. Then he let the clock drain to attempt a prayer from 60 yds...no attempt to get closer!

To allow everything but rules would be nice and also to set FG range maybe too? But also, why would he not use any TO's while driving and less than a minute to go?
