Overrides

Ok, so after 8 months, this is where I'm at in gameplanning.

If I override to have someone in a specific slot, but he's naturally lined up in another place in the formation already, do I need to do something about that, or is the override overriding enough, that it doesn't matter? I'm really hoping it's just working, but better safe than sorry and all that jazz. :)

Yes, you need to override him into the spot you want and you need to override his "natural" spot. Otherwise, he'll play the natural spot.

Bummer. Guess I'll have to dig deeper into what I'm overriding then. :-)

For example: If you want to take advantage of the backside post routes, you'll need to override the WR2 with your WR1 and vice versa. If you see your opponent is doing the same thing, you'll want to make corresponding adjustments on defense.

Likewise, if you want to beat IoT, just play a base 3-4 defense with fast defenders.

Likewise , if you want to beat Setherick , just have your defense NOT cover his wide receivers because more times than not his QB is straight up HOT GARBAGE.

Basically thats how i was able to beat him

Send me a PM next time you face setherick. I'll give you the blueprint for beating him two thirds of the time, like I do.

Too bad the classic IoT blitz 2 defense doesn't work anymore.
