It is WR2’s assignment to run a drag right route
Observe the following play....... has this happened before? Is it normal? Or is it a glitch?

Could be a play knowledge scenario. It's off the beaten path and may take repetition/build up to lock in the routes.

The other thing it could be is since the play determination was for the QB to take on immense fire with a jailbreak coming at him the route trajectories altered.

After the route ends the wr can run anywhere. He ran a drag, the route ended , then he zagged back out to the sideline . The general concept has a buggy feel cause it makes no sense which way they go and it has been exploitable in the past.
