League : Gridiron Boys
Season 1960 Week 9 My Lions are leading 16-15 and the Giants have a last drive to score. The game engine gives them MY three timeouts and they score and they win the game 23-16 (TD + 2pt conversion). Isn't it a bug ? Note : their K is really bad, missing 2 XP and 1 FG in the game, so I consider he wouldn't have scored a game-winning FG. |

Based on previous similar experiences, I believe the AI logic is "New York is in field goal range and they are probably going to run down the clock and kick the game-winning field goal. So, the only chance for my Lions to get the ball back with at least a few seconds remaining is to call time outs here to prevent New York from running the clock down to zero." I doubt that the AI takes into account the relative quality of the opposing kicker. Perhaps someone can put what I am thinking into more analytical language, assuming that my characterization of this scenario is correct. |

Thanks for your answers.
Anyway if I had got the ball back after their kick, I wouln't have been able to score. My offense is made of short passes and runs. Time to try something else... |
