Currently preseason game results will raise or lower future projected pick value, which encourages throwing games and punishes people who take preseason at all seriously.

Eliminating preseason games from the 'future pick value' projection would eliminate this issue.

It should not be using preseason games to calculate this value, what are you seeing that indicates this is happening?

I've noticed it as well, perennial playoff teams could tank in the preseason and their trade score would be the max value of 1.2K... even though their teams are clearly better than the value assigned to their draft picks.
