Again, you can control this by using rules.

IDK, Perfect Endings don't always happen! Only in La-La Land! Oh Wait, this is La La Land! Kinda!!

How?

I don't see anything that would lead me to believe we have any control over whether we call timeouts or not, or when to kick a FG as opposed to go for it on 4th down.

I don't know whats behind this but if some coaches are more or less aggressive than others than that would be dope but I'd like to know if I have an aggressive coach or not

I think this is a great idea, I've thought this many times but never actually formally put a ticket in - a "conservative" slider or something like that. The more conservative the coach, the less aggressive he'll be in various situations. It would give more importance and influence to the coaching staff, which there have been some other great ideas to that end as well.

I'd love to see these ratings bars added to coaches profiles, Intelligence and discipline. Players have it but not coaches.

Sorry. I did not mean to state that you can control timeouts. You can't.

But by using rules you can control to a degree how aggressive/conservative your play calling is at the end of the first half/game (really, at any time) rather than leave it entirely at your coach's discretion. That includes whether to kick a FG vs go for it on 4th down. That is, by selecting (4th) down, field position, distance to go for 1st down, time remaining and score differential, you can elect to go for it rather than kick a FG. Not perfect by any means - but I don't think think the game can implement a perfect solution to this issue.

I know you can determine when you want to go for it on 4th down, but I don't think you can determine when you don't want to go for it. There is no option to choose to kick the FG.

Simply not having a rule to go for it doesn't mean you'll kick the FG because the AI thinks you need to go for it (in this example - I think).

This is true, the AI will only go for it on 4th down if you are in hurry up but will always go for it in hurry up unless you are more than 2 scores behind and deep in your own territory. Where it gets hairy is the decisions whether to try a field goal or not when you're behind.
