So ive been using the magic spreadsheet and so far i seem to get about 20-30% rejecting but then usually next offer ive increased a bit they sign.

Your Cap Space is just over 2 million $. So your contract offers may crush the limit and the system tells your QB to reject.

thats what I was afraid of, doesn't he know that we will cut and make the cap space for him? He's our star, clearly his agent isn't too bright and clearly our negotiator will be fired. Don't want to loose this kid

You'll need to clear the room first. When renegotiating, slide the bonus bar to 0% and click submit. You'll get a pop up box showing the minimum bonus they will accept. Then you slide the bonus to 75%, the max. Then you slide the salary bar left until you get as close to the minimum bonus as you can without going below. That will maximize your cap space.

Thanks snd yes of course that’s what we do to help out cap. My big killer is the goofy FA market when you get not 1 but 3-4 of the guys you bid on blindly taking up cap.
I just wish now id have realized this previously to give me more cap space in past few rounds. Running perilously close to seasons end.

just to finish this off. The team star QB was rejecting the offers as it put team just slightly over the cap. I went thru and found 2 players in season 3/4 that I managed to offer extended contracts which saved just enough so that the offer to the QB would be sufficient.
Now I did leave this far too late before I asked for this help, my bad

My hope was that the Sim would run the 2 extensions prior to the QB extension during the League Championship sim cycle and it did. The extensions were accepted and then the QB accepted. The Season finished and the Team because of other moves now had plenty of cap space.
So look to the overall cap situation if player keeps refusing, thanks
