Opening this thread back up. Considering running a data driven 4.5 league.

Fred's rules with a few override exceptions. Any interest?

Just a thought but,

CJ's old World Football League is still on the list of Leagues and is still on 4.5 code with 29 available teams at free agency week 1.

Seems a shame to let an old league die.

I have no idea if it's possible but you could ask JDB if every player on every team can have their contract terminated and have an allocation draft with those players, followed by a 7 round rookie draft - or just a dispersal draft with rookies and vets all in one pool.

It would give an idea as to how far away a newly formed dispersal league is from an established league where you can see what a player has done on the field.

I'm hoping that eventually the league could be replaced with a version that is better.

Better in what way? Not trying to be difficult, just a genuine question.

I would definately be interested as long as the league is actively monitored for rules violations...I know it can be a ton of work and I'm simply swamped at work so I don't have the time myself.

Just keeping up with my XFL League has become a full time affair plus add my weekly custom power rankings in my Quick and the Dead League and I have more on my plate then I can comfortably handle.

It's the main reason I didn't keep either of my leagues in version 4.5.....no time to enforce custom rules.

With all that said, I would happily own a team in a well run 4.5 League with custom rules that are monitored and enforced.

I have no time for another "The Village" where custom rules were plentiful but the league admin didn't want to enforce them!

Let the World League die! I doubt JDB can force a league into another allocation draft and only an allocation draft is fair!!!

I have an idea on how player positions can be monitored automatically through SQL scripts like how we're doing for "out of position" running backs in Big Data.

Maybe create a poll to judge interest

It doesn't look like I can in the general forums. I'll just create the league sometime this weekend and we'll see how quickly it fills up.
