As a Miami fan, I find it's incredibly realistic to get excited when your QB breaks the 200 yard mark...

You are clearly not old enough to remember Dan Marino who basically never threw for under 200 yards in a game.

Never? I know he was awesome, but I find never surprising.

I just looked up his stats, I had forgotten his last ever game as I'm sure he would like to. Marino threw for 95 yards in a 62-7 loss to Jacksonville in the 1999 playoffs

From 1984-1995 he had 34 games with under 200 yards in 192 games or around 18% of games. I do say basically but I get your point. All I was saying was under 200 yards was uncommon.
Many but not all of those under 200 yard games were between 175-190 yards so he was regularly over 200.
He finished with 61,361 yards in 242 games which averaged 253.5 per game

And retired as the most prolific passer that had ever lived up to that point. Nowadays if you can’t keep up with his “pace” your qb is probably going to be unemployed soon.

I liked Marino, surprised he never got a 2nd chance at a Super Bowl.

Lack of defense kept Marino and Fouts from reaching the Superbowl many seasons.
