Can we please get rid of the "Plaease choose a lighter color for your dark jersey numbers" check? It does absolutely nothing to enforce color contrast and readability since it doesn't consider the color of the dark jersey at all, and often forces you into some lower-contrast decisions anyways. Either way, it's a creative limitation to team design that feels arbitrary and doesn't need to be there.
Here's an example of the message in action. If the rule is to protect contrast and ensure legibility, forcing me to shift from blue to white or yellow against a yellow jersey is a terrible system.
FWIW, if one clicks on the color to choose a new color, one can put in specific hex#s for colors. Perhaps this is why I have not run into this concern - not a bug, obviously coded to be - even when using the same colors for every option (jersey, #, helmet blahblah). I've gone full monochrome.
If you are keen, perhaps test to see if using hex #s is a workaround? Again, nice catch! The less the AI does the better hehehhe!
While we are here, the MFN color schemes for established RL NFL teams is so far off. So close no matter how far, eh, Metallicatz? Not sure if by design or by overlook amoung far more important things. Cool either way.
I really hope whatever simple updates to become more like RL NFL (CBA, colors, yadda blahs) is the next update. I really, really do!

I actually did use hex codes for all three of the colors (the white I picked is actually very slightly off-white, and the other two are definitely particular shades of their color). No such luck.
I imagine it's probably something simple, like looking at the brightness value in the HSB values of the color and rejecting anything below a certain percentage for your jersey number choice.
CSB here: cool and thx for the info. If the latter is the case, that is way too complicated for joe schmoooooo! Heck, hex numbers are a huge ask. I only use them because of my colorblindness to get the right colors for custom teams or to place the actual colors of NFL teams in the league I admin.
