I'm not used to AI teams in USFL but why would one not sign a placekicker? The Pittsburgh Maulers https://usflwfl.myfootballnow.com/team/27 owner left prior to Week 1 and I found out after the game sim that team used a non kicker for FGs and XPs. They don't have one on the roster and still don't after the midweek spin.

I thought the AI would at least make sure every position is covered. Does anyone know why it's not?

I’ve had that happen before with a punter. Had to create a dummy account as admin to force a free agent move. Maybe cap issues as AI just gives free agents the value they ask for instead of lowballing a minimum deal…

It's not a cap issue as the team has $93 million of cap room.
