i feel the free agency period shouldnt involve all of the high bid players signing in the first week. seems it would make more sense for the player to encourage teams to outbid each other and only signing once they get as much as then can when the period ends

I wish free agents or any signing had preferences by region and playbook. Maybe even contact structures.

Free agents have zero sentience. Purely taking the most money from super max offers.

I don't think they do go purely on money - I've had some unhappy with me who reject big offers I make. Could be improved though - but equally, who would be happy with the game if their big offer gets turned down for someone else?

They want Championships, so turn down bigger money offers to go to established big teams, then the leagues end up unbalanced.
