So, it's end of the season in XFL and I'm looking at re-signing several players. I use the Renegotiation Wizard to see who I may want to look at re-signing. For each of the players I'd like to re-sign I make a contract offer and the league does its spin. ALL rejected. Okay, maybe they were a little low.

I go in again and make contract offers to all the same players, matching the amounts the Wizard says they are looking for. Again, ALL rejected.

Once more I go in and make offers to the same players, this time upping the bonus to hopefully entice them. Once again, ALL rejected.

This is all in the new layout of the website. So, today I decide to see if it may work better to go into the old site and see if thing might work better. I go to the Renegotiation Wizard to sort according to years left, and lo and behold, there are no players with 1 year left on their contracts.

BTW, anyone have tips on negotiating the contracts in the new interface? jsid's spreadsheet doesn't really work with the new formulas. And I wonder if I just have extra greedy players this season. Hmmm...

I haven't tried with the new UI yet but I wanted to talk about the renegotiation wizard. I don't use it or look at it.

Instead, I just go to my roster page and sort by contracts/years left. I find the players with 1 year left and offer them a contract with a 0% bonus and click the button. A pop up will appear, telling me the minimum bonus the player will accept.

Armed with this information, I then offer a 75% bonus and go from there and almost always they accept.

I mean I move the slider to 75% and play with the contract until I get as close to the accepted bonus as I can.

I don't ever use the Wizard for negotiations. That's just where I look at the players who I need to sign.

I've always said DO NOT use the renegotiation wizard.
I should add never use Auto-set Depth Chart.
