unowned teams make horrible contract extensions to aging players which results in crippling dead cap once the player retires. please fix
an example is 34 yo MLB Red Garnett receiving a 4 year 52 mil extension. why? https://uro.myfootballnow.com/player/8067 |

Point taken.. but, to nitpick.. it's not so much the extensions as the free agents.. the idiotic team management program will sign a player who has very minimal market value to a "top of the market" deal to fill a roster spot.. thus leaving any new owner who might stumble along, with a player who is massvely overpaid and will be taking up significant team resources for a couple of season... Not good...

yes free agent signings need fixed also, excellent point
it is furstrating as a league admin to struggle to keep league at 100% ownership while watching the teams that arent owned destroy themselves, making them noncompetitive and more unappealing to prospective owners the automated decisions here in MFN need attention. why not make it possible for there to be one man leagues if that is what someone wants? i suppose that is possible now but the automated teams simply are not competitive only way i can combat this in Anything Goes RO (low ownership) is to clear cap for each team at the start of every season while we are here.....i dont understand why salary caps must go up every year. there is no reason to simulate the inflation of an economy....just keep it simple with a flat number. the players dont have bills to pay. they are in a vacuum
