When offering a free agent a max contract/bonus, the engine won't let it go through. Whatever the current max is, the system wants to keep that same max for the length of the contract and it's not accounting for the annual 5% raise.

As you can see the column on the left increases by 5% every year but when you click submit, an error message pops up saying 2062 can not exceed $97796004.
It should be able to exceed it by 5% every year of the contract but it's acting like the $97796004 is a static figure all years.
Seems to be triggered when the salary is set to the highest (and close to the highest) salary, not seen bonus amount trigger this.
I don't think I've ever gone that high in contract offers; would you say this is common or an edge case?

I figure this is directed toward JDB but if you're asking if it's common for people to offer max contracts, I'd say yes. It's getting less frequent in my leagues as the max goes upwards, but some years there is 1 free agent several teams feel they must have and a few offer the max. That's why there was a max contract loophole with the old UI, there was a way to squeeze a little more to beat out max offers.
Makes sense. Just trying to tease out if it's something affecting a high number of offers or not.

It affects every offer at or near max because it treats the left column as if it should never go higher after year 1 of the contract when the max should increase by 5%.
Maybe I'm not explaining it well but to me, a computer amateur, it seems like an easy fix.
