How much bonus money was in your contract offer? That's what it usually comes down to. I can't see your offer but the signed contract had roughly $95 million in bonus money.

My guess is you put too much money in the yearly contract portion and not enough in bonus money. It's best to offer a 75% bonus and go cheap on the yearly contract.

Are you 100% positive the offer you put through had more than $95 million in bonus money? With the new UI, perhaps something flipped or changed before you hit the submit button and you didn't offer as much as you think.

The bonus money is the only reason I can think of as to why he signed with Cleveland.

Also, in the new UI, players seem to take a dim view of long contracts. Sheedy turned down an even richer contract than yours, but like yours, it was long as well. If a player suspects that he will be on the street long before the contract is completed, he will turn it down. You have Smirt to thank for that.
