The Play Overuse function is horribly dysfunctional. It was already bad, and now is worse. There are defensive plays, the 34 Man Cover 1 for example, that can be used repeatedly with no overuse penalty, and there are plays that are used a couple of times and get hit with the penalty. The whole play overuse function should be eliminated and replaced by a more simple control method, where the league admins can set both play selection minimum and play use per game maximum. When those levels are reached, the AI coach makes the call, same as any AI control, like for roster # of players, number of active players, salary cap, et al.

Also, does Run Key have any kind of effect?? There are several owners who use Pass Key on every defensive play, so its pretty obvious that the Run/Pass Key gameplanning is also dysfunctional. Am I wrong?

In addition to the Play Overuse dysfunction, some, if not all, of the same defensive plays that do not trigger an overuse penalty also do not increase from zero familiarity, this is easy to spot when scouting your opponent. Commonly used defenses that show up as zero familiarity when scouting the opponent's defense.

This requires a full detailed investigation and explanation from JDB. My depth chart was set in a very careful and reasonable way as always. It would take me a long time to go through all the details of how screwed up I found it this morning. None of my rookies played a snap, whereas I have four of them this season who I expect to be major contributors. Out of my 6 RB's on the roster, only two were in the depth chart this morning (it was my "top two", but it left out my rookie who could potentially take that second spot over immediately). I am now left with zero conditioning and position experience gains for these key players, and I would really like to see a roll back to get a shot at having this game run properly. I've seen the warnings in the depth chart while trying to fix this mess this morning, I did not previously see anything leading up to this game. I'm getting really tired of having my teams screwed by these glitches and bugs due to changes that are too rapid without proper thorough explanation, if that is even what happened here. I honestly can't imagine there was anything wrong with my depth chart as I set it, unless you can't have over a certain number of players (I haven't seen any such warnings). I tend to fill my depth chart deeper for preseason because of starters being pulled. If it does not allow over a certain number of players in the depth chart, that is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard.

Can anybody point me to where these depth chart changes were announced and explained? I've done a bit of searching and can't find anything on it. Surely changes aren't being pushed without any awareness of the community...

Let's keep the MFN-1 chatter in the MFN-1 forums so we don't confuse folks who are not in MFN-1 - the depth chart updates only occurred in MFN-1 as part of the depth chart governance we're working on for the next version.

There has not yet been any work to make any changes to the play overuse penalty - that would be a game engine update and would start in MFN-1, but over there we're currently testing some updates to improve the long passing game as well as zone run defense.

on the player contracts page, these items used to be sortable.
They no longer are.
It sure would be awesome if they became sortable again (low2high,high2low).

In MFN 1 (test server) those things are tested. JDB has already apologized there for forgetting to make the announcement.

As Ioan said, it's in MFN-1 as all new functionality is before being released generally.

I'm sure people would agree that's what MFN 1, a public test league is best used for.
