I've had the opportunity to "visit" Germany, thanks to Uncle Sam, and to drink German beer. They serve it warm or cold. Hefeweizen is my favorite. Even drank the one that had gold chips in it. The wienerschnitzel is so incredible. It melts in your mouth and tastes sooooo good. Don't even get me started on their Oktoberfests!!! US October fests are just a glimmer of fun to the wild parties they throw at their Oktoberfests! I still have 2 mugs from the 2 Oktoberfests I attended. They sure like John Denver's "Take me home country roads". Such a beautiful country!!!

Would love to go to Oktoberfest one day but I suspect my liver won't.

Where did they serve warm beer? I never have been in a pub or restaurant where they did it. And I'm living in various areas of Germany for nearly 67 years now... except that one year in El Paso, Tx.
