What I miss is the option to click on a player and select "Do Not Draft" as used to be able to on the old site. Being able to set your preferences so your team doesn't select a bunch of FB and P is one thing, being able to exclude (for example) 50 SPD Wr or 40 STR OL would be very welcome.

if im not mistaken that is still an option. it was moved to a drop down menu.....or maybe im wrong. before it was easy to see at the bottom of the player card

I just had to check, since I am in a draft right now. It is not currently an option. The drop down on the player card has options:

View
Add to draft list
View position change matrix

The do not draft checkbox on the player card was a nice feature that has been lost. I never really used it personally, but I can see how useful it could be for a different draft approach.

thanks for checkin, warrior462. thought i saw the option somewhere. never relied on it but if i saw a player with a glaring red flag in attributes that was rated highly i would check the box for extra measure. the way i go about it.....not drafting a player is as simple as not placing the player in my manual priority list

drafting is one of the reasons i am here. more into the team building than anything else, hence my affinity for roster only. draft, trades and free agency keep me entertained. otherwise im just activating / deactivating per injury and hoping the QB doesnt defecate the bed (which is currently happening)

would be nice if the roster only leagues would sim more frequently

A problem would be the admittedly unlikely situation where you go through the draft class with a fine toothcomb, putting "Do not draft" on a signifiant number of players.

7th round pick comes around, and you've blocked all possible players.

Like I said incredibly unlikely... but game would have to handle that.

I don't think anyone has to go that far, its really just for the first four rounds so you don't get a terrible player on a guaranteed contract which then hurts your cap space. By the later rounds its a crapshoot anyway.

Certainly nobody has to, but people do some wacky things sometimes, so it does need to be considered. The solution is as simple as overriding the do not draft in the case where all available players are marked.

I am admittedly one of those sickos who goes through and checks every single player in the draft pool. I also loved the "do not draft" button so there was absolutely no chance I'd end up with a 9 speed fullback just because the AI said I "needed" one on my roster. I hope it gets restored at some point.

Can't give an exact date, but it should be returning.
