September 2026 Update

September is here and the real football season has started! Here’s what was updated during August in MyFootballNow:

• There's a beta Wiki that I hope will become a solid documentation resource. The links are in the MFN-Test league menu, but I welcome everyone to help build out the documentation. You can access the wiki directly from this link.
• I've added a 'Project Roadmap' link in the main menu under 'Documentation' to give you a clearer view of what's going on behind the scenes.
• If you’re unable to join a team in a league, there’s now a message at the top of the league letting you know why.
• Fixed an issue where voided trades were showing up in the draft war room as completed trades.
• Modified the player search so it defaults to returning any players eligible to be moved into the position you're searching for.
• The player card now displays the depth chart overrides you’ve set for him. This is visible only to the owner of the team.
• Fixed a bug where 'offer contract' would appear twice in the player action dropdown.
• Changed the waiver wire player list to be sorted by future ratings rather than current ratings.
• Added the player's position to the player stats on the league home page.
• Added Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using Google Authenticator for added security.
• Fixed a bug where player attributes with a value of "0" appeared as empty cells when downloading player search results.
• Updated the 'coach salary redistribution' notifications so they show only once per league and are cleared once you’ve resolved them.
• The league admin can now independently block unbalanced trades without blocking common IP addresses, and vice versa.
• Fixed a UI issue where a pending voided contract during the draft was incorrectly showing that there would be a cap hit.

While certainly dated, it looks to me like some of these posts could be updated and included in the new documentation.

Great find. What's also important is collating old info from league forums; even if out of date, getting a page set up preserves information. We've lost a lot as leagues lose.

I have brought it up before, and it has not been addressed. The "remaining cap room" box on a waiver claim is not even the slightest bit close to accurate. It always looks like you will be spending FAR more than you actually will if you get the claim. I'm not sure exactly what is going wrong with it.

I must have missed it previously. I'll add this to my queue to investigate.

I would really like the ratings on the players page to be sorted the same as the player card instead of alphabetical.

I would also like it if when looking at your teams player stats under the kick returns section it would read KR-avg. Instead of stats.KR-Avg. The word stats is unnecessary and none of the other headings read that way.

Immediately after the league championship sim it updates your team home page with any awards you won this season. So you already know if you won the championship game or not as soon as you log in. I would like the team awards to update after the end of season instead so it doesn't spoil anything.

After a FA period if a player has an offer but has not signed it only shows the top offer on the players info. We used to be able to see all the pending offers and adjust accordingly. Is there a reason this was changed? I personally would like to see all the pending offers not just the top offer.

Also figured I would try bringing it up again, can we please make it clear and obvious which players are inactive when looking at the team home page.

On the league transactions page any single players transactions are not being sorted next to one another. All the rejected contracts for a player plus the accepted one should all be together not scattered throughout multiple pages and separated by many other transactions.

I'm still hoping for an "Activate All Players" option in the depth chart...
Nudge, nudge, know what I mean?

The artificial intelligence generated "News Articles" remain riddled with errors. I posted several replies about the errors to the news articles for the Denver Gold in the USFL / WFL, but the errors are so pervasive I am discontinuing those posts. I still believe the News Articles are a positive enhancement to the MFN experience, but the articles need to be accurate to be meaningful.

There is now a button to report errors - even if you start reporting occasionally the biggest offenders that will help. That tool links the article to the data that was sent to AI to generate it so I can dig more deeply into why the errors are occurring.
