exactly what pay subscription is required to be enabled to become a league admin and/or to start a new league?

From memory, starter plus, BUT you need the higher level sub to be able to customize.

149.99
that's a tough chew to swallow.
I can combine sam's club +, Walmart + - both with home delivery - and my pick of an annual paramount+ or Peacock subscription for $120.

Just sayin'.

Also, an admin being required to pay an additional subscription amount simply to permit customization for players that have already paid for such a privilege is not ok.

I have said this many times before:
Players that pay for customization should be able to customize any and all teams they have, regardless of if the admin paid a second time for team customization. Forcing a league admin to pay additional money to give something to a player that already paid for it (customization) is just ridiculous.

Double jeopardy sux eggs for the player base.

Give players what they paid for, across all their teams and in all their leagues.
Don't make admins pay more to give players what they have paid for.

Oh, so you want me to not only pay for my groceries, but also WORK FOR FREE at the checkout to make you even more money at no benefit to me, the paying customer?

NOPE. NOPE. NOPE.

I'll add this edit:
Such double charging for the same service across multiple customers will be why custom leagues die.
I won't pay more money to give/enable someone else access what they have already paid for, and I won't accept such double charging for the same services.

No customer should ever be paying for subscription service customization they can not access 100% of the time.
No admin should have to pay additional money to give MFN subscribers access to what they have already paid for.

League customization and player customization are two different things, so the argument is wrong.

Get a pirate box and you can eliminate subscriptions. My VSee Box paid for itself after 6 months of not paying SlingTV $50 a month. With the NFL on every single streaming service, I never miss a game.

If a league is customizable, the admin doesn’t need to maintain a premium subscription for users to customize their own teams. Creating or editing the league counts as a customization action, but users edit their individual teams through their own accounts—not the admin’s account.

Note to self. Look before I buy. Anyway, Subscription purchased. Far more than I needed to admin Paydirt, but whatever. Bad answers are just bad answers (looking at you, again, martin).
Thanks again, jdb, for the right answer.
My bad I didn't see the right answer before i bought the wrong subscription.

The information I needed should have been easily accessible in the first place.
Please fix things so the next guy doesn't over purchase to be an admin based on bad information.

also, i did not get my legacy token credit. Was charged the entire 149.99. Had 5 legacy tokens.

Like, i really feel ripped off between being told i had to buy the full boat and not getting credit for legacy tokens.

I could have bought: 4 months of gas. 13 shares of Ford. 3.5 shares of CNK. 10 shares of standard nuclear, yet another full share of SPACEX, 1/1000th of a bitcoin or 6/100ths of Ethereum (both of which, frankly, id be buying at a loss).
..and what I got is nothing more than what I had at free. AI news? nah. multiple teams? nope. Aint got time for what i have. PLayer names? sorta fun - like a penny arcade.
The kicker is that the division of definition between an admin paying for league customization and a player paying for customization is still double jeopardy - both customers have to pay, or neither actually has customization.

What's done is done.

I do look forward to being the admin of Paydirt, though 150$ is a steep price to simply become a league admin. More so now that I know I could have spent less.
