No such thing as soccer but that's a different argument, tbh...
Think a lot of people underestimate how powerful turnovers are in the game. It's historically easy to create an interception machine of a QB - seen that a lot with my guys throwing more picks than TDs.
That's why raw stats (what happened) are less important than probability (what may well happen). I know Seth was big on the latter.
I just think that a lot more deeper analysis needs to be performed on data, better mathematical modelling used to prevent upsets - or just enjoy the game.

No, this is the cornerstone of my argument! Each one is so massive, and they are too carelessly just distributed at random, causing ridiculous results that should never happen. That is the charitable version. The more intense version is that they are actually weaponized against the best teams in an attempt to force parity.

In America, yes there is...we aren't going to use the term American Football and Futbol/Football...a lot easier to just say football and soccer. Honestly, Americans do not care at all to call soccer football.
Sometimes Americans can't even agree on what to call pop...some call it soda, some call it soda pop but where I'm from it's just pop. You think you are "correcting" us? Or is that courrecting us...idk where to put the extra letter like colour.
Maybe you are correct in your part of the globe but just like we said back in 1776, England does not rule the world. In this part of the world, it IS soccer and always will be.
Getting off my soap box now.
You know I'm "yank"ing your chain right?

Generally found fumbles higher with players with low avoid fumble, which is what I'd expect.
Passing plays are a bit more nuanced, I found removing certain pass plays lowered the number and frequency, tho need to take a better look.
Disagree about the intense version; given my sides have at times been turnover machines, and so could hardly be an attempt at parity. I suspect more passing plays by their nature (routes) are more susceptible to certain defences, giving the defenders more opportunity to pick. Throws may also be rushed due to blitzing being so powerful in 4.6.

FIFA not FISA....
And we used Association Football, which morons reduced to "soccer" because rugby, a derivative from football created when some **** footballer picked the ball up and ran with it, decided to call itself football.
Which is why it's American Football despite the ball overwhelmingly being handled.
But you can't call it American Handball because there's already a sport called Handball.
So the biggest lesson from all that is the Jets ****.
I hope the Jets **** again Sunday, Raiders need a win so all the fans can quit asking for Fernando to play. Last I checked, Kirk Cousins doesn't play defense and that's been the Raiders problem on this losing streak. Let the kid sit and learn.
Betting the Jets will **** is usually a good play. First year of the Panthers organization I chose a three game package and tried to figure out who would be the first win. I thought it might be- and it was- the Jets, 26-15. Some things never change.
