45, but I think that is by training camp. You can have less than that during the off season.

No I believe you must have 45 during the season. The cpu will sign someone to your team if you are under 45 for next game and then you most likely will have to redo your depth chart. I am sure you must have 45 active players per game

Yes, the AI will require you to have 45 players at a game stage. I _don't_ think it will sign up to 45 for TC as well, but I'm not 100% certain without looking at it.

ok thanks .. just tired of the daily message of needing to sign my 1 year players, when there is no interest in resigning them. figure once im out of playoffs i van just release them then.

No. The AI will sign enough to get you back to the minimum at the next game stage. You have to wait until after the championship game has been played.

no... you will be good at 49 but its better to stay at 53 if you can so you have the players to cover injuries. There is no minimum during FA periods or draft.

No, the AI will only take you up to 45 if you are below 45, so you'll be ok with that.
