Any QB would have thrown it to the receiver wide open in front of him.

This isn't because I lost, but because I have seen this happen more than once where a QB is staring at a wide open receiver but takes the sack anyways

I would like to know what attribute makes the QB ignore an open receiver in a case like this?

Is this intelligence, field of vision, something else?

Looking at the play it doesn't look like it would be field of vision because he's definitely looking at the receiver. It might be experience (not position experience as in this case his position experience is high, but he might have had a low experience with the actual offensive play or defensive play which will cause him to hesitate to throw the ball). I'll also look and see if there is indeed a possible bug with his decision making that prevented him from throwing the ball in that case or a tweak in his logic that needs to be made.

Maybe he's showing off his high scrambling ability..

The only logical thing I can think of is its his 1st game starting the season, and he panicked somehow not throwing due to his lack of game time. But still could have at least try to scramble with a 99 scramble level or at least tried to throw it. Either that or he knew the receiver had butter fingers...
