I actually went to high school with a guy named Ryan Ryan. His mom remarried and he chose to take his stepdad's name because it was the same as his first name.

I can relate. I went to school with a guy name Scott Scott. But he went by Scottie.

I just tried to find this story via google but failed, it must be at least 30 years ago an American family with the surname of Doodah ( sorry I don't know the exact spelling) named their child..... Zipedee. I kid you not.
