Can you promote a position coach to coordinator the same year you sign that position coach?

No, you can't sign a coach to two different contracts in the same year (without first firing him).

Sucks because just resigned a position coach who would make a good OC and my old OC got poached.

How come I can only set a salary o 1827000 (?) & was outbid on a coach by Cleveland who pay him 4m? (twice what I could offer!)

Yep, best thing to do is get them all signed so all contracts end at the same time, then RE-sign them right before the last season ends.

It is supposed to show a (*) during his final year, but it never happens on mine for some reason, dk why these wolves WILL steal them away!

But you have to keep an eye on it for sure.........these guys will steal your underwear if you don't!! No kidding!

Usually day 1 of FA I sign everyone.. this time I got out bid on the OC and now I'm stuck. Ugh

They have to be under an old deal .. numbers of years is moot.

Say if your season is 2019, they signed a 5 yr deal in 2018, they are poachable .. unless they re up in 2019 .. then they are untouchable that season.
