Coordinators get paid 1/2 of Head Coaches salaries, and Position Coaches get paid 1/2 of Coordinators salaries.

Coaching is something I'll take a look at next season - only just mastering the basics like draft and free agents etc.
Also gonna spend time this season mastering positional skills weightings too

You can't pay a position coach more than your lowest paid coordinator and you can't pay your coordinators more than your head coach.

Ah I see so basically my lowest paid coordinator is at 1.8m
Making that higher will allow me to get better position coaches.

Yes and no. Coaches do not count towards the player salary cap. There is a cash flow cap that is used for the coaches .. you will find it on the window where you are entering the offer.

Doesn't look like I can 'steal' others' coaches - when I click on there card there's no option to bid or offer a contract.

Putting together my current contracts, pending and spare I seem to have about 65m to spend on coaches yet have only currently got about 13m spent on them.

Guess that's where I'm going wrong - not maxxing out my cap right?

If that team signed the coach the current season, then no .. you cannot poach the coach.

Edit: on your other post I mentioned you are drafting.. sadly the window has closed for you to get someone elses coach.
