Good lord, man! What the **** are the 63 rules!? If I get 15 rules I'm generally confused... Most people don't have 10 rules, let alone 63... Have you foregone the matrix to set an exclusively rules-based gameplan? That is doable, but is a mighty task...

It would be well over 200 rules if it was a streamlined set up thats easy to read and navigate.
The 63 I have(had) were just situational rules - ie: 4th Down & 2 - trailing by 9+ under 4 min left in the 4th quarter.

I have added a thread into the suggestion forum with some proposed changes to the rules tab, the more upvotes and ideas we can put in there the more chance we have of getting it changed.

The AI is pretty good at picking up situations like 4th and 2 when you're down late in a game... I know you're new, so what I would suggest is watching a few games and if the computer screws up your game, you can make a rule to rectify it.

Under Gameplanning/Misc you can adjust your 'Hurry Up' and 'Slow Down' modes, I don't know if stumbled upon that...

That being said, it is EPIC that you've been creating rules for situations, and you haven't even been here a week! That kind of commitment will take you to championships, my friend!!

I hope so. I like to be prepared for everything, so I have never been a fan of just 'basic' settings. However, in this game so far everyone seems to say its the way to go. I feel like I may just go against that eventually.

I have some rules that I use in every league, but it's not too many... Like I have my matrix set to run on 2nd and short, but I have a rule that will throw long on 2nd and 1. I have a rule that goes for it on 4th and 1 instead of punting.... that sort of thing... But generally I use the gameplan matrix for most situations...

And yeah, 'basic' settings ****... heh!

I'm pretty new here and taking it slow. I only have a couple rules for fourth down. I'm trying to tweak gameplanning to make adjustments instead of creating rules for everything. ... Is this the advised way, vets, or should I be making a lot more rules?

Yes, that's exactly what you should be doing. Get yourself set up, and add rules as you need to....
