Admin needs to preserve records from folded leagues

Is there any way you (Admin) could archive league histories and records for those that have folded. It is sad to have put in time and effort over many seasons only to have ZERO record of it if a league happens to fold. Thank you for your consideration.

I appreciate this suggestion, but allow me to explain why I have chosen to do this.
There are two major costs to running this site. The #1 cost is the storage required for all of the data for each league. This cost increases of course the longer a league exists. The #2 cost is the cost required to run the servers to sim the games. But that pales compared to #1. The reason leagues shut down and data gets removed when they get empty is because, without people actively playing in a league, I can't cover the cost to store the data of the league; it's as simple as that. The only viable solution would be to change the model to one where everyone pays maybe a monthly subscription instead of having ads on the site or buying credits, but I believe that would significantly reduce membership and hurt the game as a whole, so instead I have chosen to make it free to play if you choose to do so. The compromise on that point is that, if a league is not being played in, the data for it goes away. The exception of course is that if you have a custom league, that league will not shut down if it is below the minimum threshold, because someone did pay for that benefit.

For those Custom leagues perhaps a better idea would be to make it understood to the person creating said league that if they are inactive for a certain amount of time and the league falls below enough players for the sim to spin for a certain amount of time that the league will be deleted.

that would be kinda of crappy that they spent some serious money on their league , designed things on it , etc. then some one says SORRY but that league will be deleted .

The alternative is what we have in several cases now ... guys who start user-created leagues and then abandon them. Those leagues will just sit idle (taking up server space) into perpetuity. Any commissioner making even a half-hearted effort should be able to keep his league half full. I agree that there should be some sort of standard for user-created leagues to continue.

I will probably convert leagues that have been abandoned for some time into unowned leagues at my discretion after attempting to contact the league owner.
