Has anyone allowed their team to solely on the coach's recommendations? Meaning:
- an auto set depth chart? - recommended player weights?

Until the default player weights are reset to reflect the realities of the game today, I would not use them. Ever. Especially when setherick continues to publish and update his guide to more accurate weights.

making your own unique weights is one of the best parts of this game imo. I would never copy someones or use base weights

My thinking was since you have 0 control of the gameplanning, why not see what happens using their weightings would do?
Just a mass question to other "ROers" if they've done it.
I took over a team in NFL Xtreme and had decent success after changing the depth chart to my weightings (although I am now mired in a 4 game losing slump .. Lol).

I know sethrick has this weights for 4.5. And I know Bryson said we should set our own but do we know if there is anyone that has some good weights for Roster Only Leagues? Or some advice on which attributes to set our weights too.
I've done a little tinkering mine, just want to see if I'm doing things the right way haha.

I don't think everyone should have to do their own, my opinion is it's much more fun to figure out roster building and make your own weights based off of personal experience and preference. If owners want to cut and paste off of another owner then that's their choice. Everyone plays the game differently, whatever makes mfn fun for you is probably the best option. Oh and there's been many owners who i help out making weights so if anyone ever has any questions about it i'm more than happy to help :)
I hear what Bryson is saying, I have done everything myself and yes I can tell, I don't win as much as some and am still learning! Its good that some owners know how it all works and put it out to everyone, I just don't read it.We are all differant and if everyone sets things the same, then it is like roster only in a way! I moved out of the roster only leagues because it seemed to many game plans were the same. My teams get killed by the guys that know more than I, but I still build and try new things! I forget more than I remember, my only advice, if your as old as I am, write it down!
Sorry Chandyo i didn't mean to hijack your thread lol. To answer your question as best as i can i would say use your normal weights with roster only since you don't have a whole lot of control of how the team will play. Otherwise if you build a team based on certain traits the gameplans might not take advantage of them. One thing i'd be more apt to worry about is zone ratings since computer likes to call zones and most owners build rosters worrying mostly about man to man. I would think balanced rosters with guys that can tackle and cover should be a priority. On offense it's all about playmakers that have speed. Drops are big so hands is always a key component. i'm sure you'll be fine, you know what you're doing :)
It’s all good Bryson, didn’t see it as you highjacking at all.
I totally get what your saying as well about making it your own and that is fun to build your own. I guess my concern was just I still don’t understand the weight system as far as why you get this attribute 25 and another 50. I know what attributes I like better than others. I went and added sethricks weights as a test and saw he had some things at 100 and a few at 12 and 35 just kind all over. I guess what I’m saying how do you come to a conclusion on what value a particular attribute should be?
