We can all appreciate the stupid mistakes we made when we were starting out, but some league owners may want to consider whether they allow a nube into the fold until he's proven he knows what he's doing. And, you know, doesn't flip out when somebody states the obvious.

Somebody in another thread simply asked Lucky why he was listed here. Lucky could have said, "I didn't realize the team was so bad, I wanted a league with more players, I've learned from the cap management errors, and I promise to stick with this team if you let me have it." Instead, Lucky posted a series of comments that should give any league owner pause before letting the guy in. He certainly deserves another chance, at some point.

Gustoon is to be applauded for starting this thread but I think he jumped the gun here. Everyone else named here has ruined teams and not responded to repeated PMs to answer for it.

Gustoon was man enough to admit his error and lucky was removed appropriately. As someone that was named in the forums years ago without a PM....I can understand his aggravation.

With that being said....Lucky used abusive language which was uncalled for and he has been notified of this and responded appropriately.

This whole situation was unfortunate....mistakes were made but in the end....this thread worked.

Someone named was questioned by an admin.....he defended himself and was resolved of wrongdoing and removed.

The rest of the names on this list have never communicated with the exception of a recent PM from PC2256 to BillStein pleading guilt and embarrassment and seeking help.

This thread was made to protect admins in leagues from owners ruining teams and in extension leagues. Anyone named is free to defend themselves and get their name removed.

Without a better avenue to revue persceptive owners in leagues created by someone who spent money to build a competitive league with added content...this is the best tool we have as admins to avoid owners that are repeat offenders and wont communicate directly.

I dont support Lucky's abusive language but I do understand his frustration. He is free to join one of my leagues and will offer any help he needs because Greg is right.....this game needs all the new owners we can get.

PC2256 has asked for help but will have to prove over time he can be trusted before removal. If we named and shamed every owner on here that has joined a league then abandoned the team without word to the admin.....this list would be much longer

In private, custom leagues there needs to be an "Owner Review Process." Something that hits their desk before a sim takes place....if a transaction(s) are flagged and appear to the computer that something's amiss.

Are these move(s) ok? Allow them to go through - yes or no? < a prompt to the league owner

Maybe competitive issues are involved here but no league owner will reject a move and cost his league's reputation just to slight a fellow GM.

Basically, barriers/protection points need to be put in place to avoid the swooping cuts or egregious, outrageous contracts which submarine a franchise.

It can't just be....person swoops in, performs damaging moves, sim goes through, GM leaves and franchise is ruined.

Turn back the clock is over per JDB can't put commitment to doing that over and over. Therefore, something needs to be put in place to protect.

I'm not the admin but according to the league forums he joined 9/27 which is 14 sim spins ago...since the league is about to play game 9....he joined right around week 2....now if I go to the teams transaction page for Miami.....no player has been signed or released since the preseason.

In conclusion, it doesnt look like he made any player moves so the team was a disaster before he joined. That's my research into it....I'm willing to listen if my calculations are wrong but it doesn't seem so.
