It does happen, rarely. More often they achieve solid goodness, like this guy. His first season he got blamed for losing a LC (dropped a Kickoff after the starting KR got injured). He's developing nicely into a leader for my next generation of receivers.

#86 William Carpenter rnd 6.31 busted hard but 7 for 8 is the closest I got while getting legit players. Playing that volatility helps alot as the first cb was a rnd 3 pick and now is elite. This is only there Second season so these default overalls will still go up some. #39 Carlos Perez CB 100vol 91ovrl #82 Jasper Welch FB 86 vol. 88 ovrl #41 Bret McClinton CB 68 vol. 88 ovrl #65 Kerry Lewis RT 98 vol. 83 ovrl #26 Louis Donahue RB 96 vol. 81 ovrl #28 Mitchell Elsner RB 34 vol. 77 ovrl #93 Walter Cutts LDE 100 vol. 69 ovrl #38 Isaac Moller SLB 94 vol. 56 ovrl, I had this guy 10 points higher as a DB under 4.5 |

Like in a normal draft, get your DBs and QB early, or the talent will be gone. I don't try to find guys that will win the 1st LC. I try to find guys that will win the 3rd LC.

I think perhaps the best draft I ever had, as I made it my business to ensure we could compete straight off the bat. That was back in 4.3 (I think). We went on to win the first two LC's and then JDB introduced 4.4....which really screwed up the way I wanted to take the team....that, coupled with some family/life changing events, had me quit the game. Since returning, I've asked the current owner if he/she would be kind enough to relinquish the team back to me, as I did put my heart & soul into them from day one, but no reply...which is weird as he/she started out as the Dallas Cowboys owner lol. Oh, how I'd love to have my team back....but hey-ho. https://nfl-league.myfootballnow.com/team/18 [EDIT] 1971 14-2 Kababmaster Division Champ 1970 15-1 Kababmaster Division Champ 1969 16-0 Kababmaster League Champ 1968 16-0 Kababmaster League Champ

We drafted with youth in mind at key skilled positions, coupled with speed.. I've not looked into the stats, but when I left the game, there was nobody catching QB Foran. A fine mix of latter day Montana & Marino To be fair, the current coach (DLegend) seems to have made very good adjustments to 4.5....cudos to him/her. But back on track, relative to "Your Best Draft"...for me, I nailed this early with very young players. [EDIT] And if you are reading this, DLegend.....Daddy is home, can he sit in his favourite seat LOL

Question... Why do people draft slow players? Even in the first round CBs rated in the high 80s but speed in the 50s. I would much rather have a fast CB with high M2M skills even with a lower rating. Maybe it's my system? I see this with wide receivers and running backs too. Are people not paying close attention, or is there something I'm missing?
