Hello and welcome to the 2033 Major League Football Playoffs!
Enter the MLF 2033 Carnival of Kismet! The weekend kicks off with perhaps the best matchup, The Boston Revolution (pronfl51) favored by 2 at home against The Los Angeles Villains (mjhack). Boston (11-5, #3 seed), led by [player=7108]QB Gary Scott[/player], were last in the chase for the Camp Cup in 2029. That year, their first under the current GM, they lost in the wildcard to Ohio 14-16. In the other Bangers Conference Kismet battle, the heavily favored (-10) Pittsburgh Ironmen (trslick) will battle the Reno Rhinos in Reno. Over in the Mash and Gravy Conference, the games begin with a testy matchup of the Texas Rustlers (loanblood) versus the Miami Cyclones. Texas , favored by 5 in the offshore betting circles and playing at home are looking to improve on last year’s 3-9 loss to Minnesota in the Carnival of Kismet. The other matchup has the heavily favored Galveston Sailors (bgedgerly), led by [player=6018]WR Richard Call[/player]’s league leading 2433 receiving yards, are looking to feed the Alaska Storm (8-8) to the lions. The Chicago Beasts (SlipperySlope), Ohio Red Dogs (jabillups85), Beaver Dam Curds (CrazySexyBeast), and Wichita Wildcats (Gridironfan) are all on byes.  Custom league. NEW FORUM BUG:
Does not recognize proper player (page misdirect but right player #) when using bbc player code [player=#] and [/player]. As seen in the above post, the proper player # results in the improper player being displayed. It worked properly at 230 ish MDT today Ap12 2021. |

Hello and welcome to the 2033 MLF Condition of Attrition!
After capsizing the Sailors 20-15, the Alaska Storm find themselves with the dubious task of blowing through Beaver Dam, WI, in their effort to win a MLF Camp Cup. The Curds (15-1, #1)(CrazySexyBeast), having faced QB struggles throughout most of the season before ejecting QB Rex Ponce in favor of perennial backup [player=4858]QB Robert “One Eye” Lyle[/player], are no lock for advancement in spite of being favored by 14. The other matchup in the Mash and Gravy Conference brings us the Texas Rustlers (loanblood), who blew up Miami 24-3 in the Carnival round, look to upset the Wichita Wildcats (Gridironfan) in Wichita. The Wildcats, having won their division the previous 5 seasons, desperately need to advance as the contracts of 12 players expire at the end of the season. Over in the Bangers Conference, the Pittsburgh Ironmen (trslick) will take on the Chicago Beasts (SlipperySlope) in Chicago. The Beasts (-5) are looking to advance to their 4th straight conference championship game. “Well. Honestly, It’s going to be a witch. Chicago has a fine tradition of excellence, but I am confident [player=7788]QB Randall Hale[/player] and his 5k yards will not let us down” stated Ironmen HC Phillip Sledge. In the other Bangers Matchup, we find Boston (-2) hoping to capture and contain the Ohio Red Dogs (jabillups85). Boston (pronfl51), 5-11 in 2031 and having undergone too many rebuilds, finds themselves in a rare position to advance to a conference championship round, never before accomplished in team history.
