Read that too. I believe you to be right.
My understanding is mystery order of waiver team priority is "very loosely" based on the previous season's standings (ie the current season's draft order) through out the current season. That's my best guess.

Then, personnel priority is by the order of contracts given.
I always do the contract for the FA I want the most, first.

I do know it's by team (but not how the order of teams is determined), then if a team has a waiver contract, then its by that team's order of contracts issued.
Team priority then by team then by order of contract issued. Hope i said that in a way I intended it to be understood.

I encourage doing in season FA at midweek for depth chart simplicity.

Hope I helped or at least added to greg's post.

It does make sense. I knew waivers were somehow connected to the previous season's standings (worse teams get first dibs on good players on waivers), but I thought it changed to the *current* season's standings at some point - maybe I'm totally wrong about that.

I've been playing MFN for more than four years now and had NO CLUE that the order you put in waiver claims impacted their priority. If you end up on JDB's consulting committee tell him to allow owner's to manually set their waiver priority - if they can do it in Yahoo fantasy football leagues they can do it here too.

The ability to see and change the order of our choices would be the best option, but absent that, we do need a clear understanding of what the rules/process is. If I'm right and it's the order we offer contracts, let it be known. If I'm wrong, let that be known as well, along with the proper procedure.

Transparency is awesome in an online game.

So many things are evidenced to be able to be done because we see it elsewhere. How about that UI.

I agree with Greg to, this is a small population here in MFN. Why all the loose ends and hidden details if the goal is to improve the game and attract new owners who then need to be brought up to speed by other owners, who by the way get not much from all the effort they spend trying to point people in the right direction.

Waiver waiver order is based on last seasons draft order until week 9 of the season where it flies to the current seasons records.

AFAIK.

waiver claims are done in random order so no player can be prioritized by an owner making multiple waiver claims. Once a team is awarded a waiver claim they go to the back of the line for the remaining waiver claims that spin.
