Need clarification on this.

* Bump and run coverage has been improved where the DB will now run with the WR and interrupt the pattern

Is this accurate? In testing, at least before April 1, it was M2M that allowed DBs to run with WRs and interrupt patterns. When did this change?

This explains why so many long routes are suddenly open all of the time since most DBs have crappy B&R and fall down as soon as they are beat. ...

If this description is correct, then M2M is a worthless attribute since B&R will now control downfield coverage and short coverage and getting beat off the snap and ... you get it. Dumb.

---

If you're saying that failed B&R will now cause the DB to turn and run with the WR, then it's just false because that does not appear to be happening at all.

Can we get an answer on this? It's affecting me working on 0.4.3 weights.

This is referring to the fact that when B&R is engaged, the DB slows down the route of the WR until the WR breaks away. The update for better M2M skills staying with the WR better still exists, but that doesn't disrupt the pattern or slow down the WR.

When did this change? This was definitely part of the pre-April 1 code that we were testing. Did this not make it to release?

Or does M2M just not slow down a pattern after B&R?

I think you're thinking of the B&R updates - you were definitely a part of the testing process, but it was always B&R that allowed the DB to slow down the WR.

Could have sworn it was M2M, but I didn't dig through the months worth of testing notes.

[quote="SlipperySlope"]Here is my positives and negatives for the game and new game engine

#3 As we all know Zone defenses are for the most part worthless. Zone is a huge part of the NFL and could make up for not having the best athletes at cb. 0.4.3 does not fix the zone.

So what are the best defense options if most of the plays you have are zones?

Cover 4 if you must play zone. Other play base M2M.

Is this what this game is gonna be like from here on out? I don't like it. I don't like it one **** bit! QB's can't complete passes. Short routes are a joke now. Looks like I'm going to lose interest in this game at a rapid pace, if this is what I have to get accustomed to seeing on a daily basis from my teams.

Just watched our game in MFN-27 and during the competitive portion of the game it was painful to watch. (I shut it off before halftime) Wide open drops on run keys and avoidance of throwing certain routes. It's difficult....
