Ace Frehley is the best thing to ever happen to KISS, and has more talent in a chin hair than Paul, Gene, and Eric have in their combined physical and aural entities :P In other words, KISS is a talent-less 6 hit wonder. Convince me other wise.
*SHOTS FIRED*
As a kid, I liked KISS, but now I can't even listen to them. F Gene Simmons especially. When they tour next year, will it be their 5th or 6th final tour? Lost track awhile back.
Still part of their 3-year End of the Road Tour which started 2019. So, if their is no delay due to Corona, which actually should be, the tour will end 2022 or 2023. Any tour thereafter will be a "resurrection".
How many last tours were before this? They're about as committed to retirement as Brett Favre.
Nobody stops touring, see Nick Menza dropping dead on stage.. FWIW, I saw The Who's Final Tour - The Kids Are Alright Tour in 86 in Boulder, CO, and dern right KISS is on my bucket list (see em before they die list i should say lol). Though these days the who donate the tour profits to their kids cancer charity.. Unlike say, Motley Crue - who would have been on the road again in 2020... and yes, F Gene Simmons. Absolutely. :)
I saw Iron Maiden and Judas Priest on their latest tours, and both bands still put on great shows, especially Maiden. For Priest, they were missing Glenn Tipton. His replacement did fine but Rob Halford got a little tired at the end.
One of these years, if Americans can ever travel again, I want to go to Germany for the Wacken Open Air Festival.

It's a must for a metal fan to visit W.O.A. at least once in his lifetime... but you have to order your ticket right at selling start, cause it's sold out within hours even without fixed line-up.
WINGS is better than the Beatles. Lennon's solo work mostly is C grade material with some very exceptional highlights, Ringo is still the best Beatles to have a laugh with, but George is my favorite. I won't dismiss 10 hours, 28 minutes of Beatles album glory, but WINGS is BETTER.
Feel free to delve into Jeff Lynn and ELO, as Ol' Jeff was a quiet influence during the White Album, and participated with George Harrison (& T. Petty, R. Orbison. B Dylan, J. Lynne, G. Harrison) in The Traveling Willburys.
If you wish to ge deep on The Traveling Wilburys, by all means do so.
The tree: Beatles Paul solo (wings) John Solo Jeff Lynne (ELO) The Traveling Wilburys Ringo Goofyness.
Let's have fun!
To conclude my original thought and the WAR!!!
WINGS is better then the Beatles. McCartney is better than Lennon. ELO was a nice symphonic Beatles, and a personal guilty pleasure. El Dorado is a top 5 desert island album while no Beatle album is. The Wilburys? 50/50 considering the talent, unfortunate to be George's and Roy's last major radio success. Still a great band - track all of it down. RINGO SELLS SKETCHERS AND ALWAYS HAS A SECOND DRUMMER. Ringo does not need a second drummer, that kit he plays in the 21st century. WOW. The All-Stars? Some good gems in there.
I got my mind set on you, now go!

Lost Eddie Van Halen today, one more reason 2020 sucks.
I always preferred the DLR era myself, I think radio killed VanHagar for me. Back in those days, I only had a radio in the car while working and heard so much of that, along with Def Leppard, ACDC, etc I can't even listen to it anymore.
