*Jon Lord left Deep Purple with David Coverdale to from Whitesnake after David's smash "Whitesnake" EP... Ian Gillian shows up as a guest musician in the liner's of the 1st 3 WS albums...
EDIT: It would be dumb to not acknowledge Newsted as a founder of Flotsam and Jetsam, a key member of Most of Voivod's "cult" successes, Echobrain. Newsted, and various collaborations before completely retiring from music to become a successful and seminal painter. FNJ's Doomsday for the Deceiver... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OA3SYYxcLI

A dark glamor band? Is there such a thing?
Sweet was labeled as a glam band back in the 70's, but they had some hard rock music(or classic rock as they call it today) in the mix as well. Desolation Boulevard and Give Us A Wink were a couple examples. If you think Black Sabbath was dark, listen to this Sweet song "I wanna be committed". It does not get much darker than this. Enjoy Sweet I wanna be committed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG1pgmsQDNI Lyrics I wanna be committed I wanna be committed I thought I was a space-age cowboy I thought I was a sweet and sour chow-boy I thought I was a thinker A juvenile drinker I thought I had some kind of a brain 'Til they told me I was just a rumor A cheap and nasty looner Well, it turned out I was just insane I wanna be committed, insanity permitted I wanna be committed for my mind I wanna be committed, don't let me be remitted I wanna be committed if you don't mind Well, at the dance last Saturday night He was a rockin' and a rollin' And holding her tight 'Till he got his hands on her But when he started out to play She kept pushing him away and he got a funny feeling He was walking on the ceiling And someone was heard to say, "If you don't mind, Sir" I don't mind" I thought I was a teenage dream-boy With a brain made of solid plastic alloy I thought I was a tripper, there ain't nobody hipper But it turned out I was going down the drain I wanna be committed, insanity permitted I wanna be committed for my mind I wanna be committed, don't let me be remitted I wanna be committed if you don't mind I wanna be committed Insanity permitted I wanna be committed for my mind I wanna be committed I wanna be committed I wanna be committed for my mind |

It has been a long time since I was at a level "10" in excitement for a Pearl Jam album.
But holy smokes, the new directions, that old "pocket" rythm section. Booooyyy! March 27. Dance of the Clairvoyants https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss6mIGfyvXM&list=RDEMQuQEzffjJKEaVLto7N_tHA&index=6 Superblood Wolfmoon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOYdZ0GyQFQ Old school mixing approach, so full, yet so empty in the background frequencies :P Scooped and Specter'd!
