Ex Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing started a new band, K.K.'s Priest and ex Priest singer Ripper Owens is the vocalist. It sounds a lot like Priest, go figure, but it's pretty good.

I just saw an article about this on guitarworld.com yesterday. Thanks for the reminder, will listen now. Poor KK is out of stuff to auction after taking that financial bath on Hole 9. Owens is always a great fill in guy at vocals, but never seems to get the steady gig.
It's alright. Generic-y. I noticed KK is using a scalloped neck these days. Hilarious video intro. I have a feeling the label picked a terrible lead single....

McCartney 3-2-1 is just phenomenal. The way episode 2 opens when Macca explains the building of a chord from C on the piano and then extrapolates it to the entire keyboard - goosebumps. I'll try to gather that up to when teaching power and expanded chords on the guitar to folks, but i'm stealing his method, hands down.
Oh, and Rick Rubin is still a putz who only knows the #10 on the mixing board knobs and doesn't understand the Wall of Sound concept does not mean redline everything. Note the Phil Spector conversation.
