Just like Joshua at the walls of Jericho, I'm here to tell you it's institutional!
You need to see me right about now, so I can fix thissssss. The new Jack White is groundbreaking, and I'm not a Jack White Stan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru5afNNSPeU&list=RDru5afNNSPeU&index=1 |

But you must tell seven friends
You must first bring seven friends! It's just a great track. Played it for a friend o mine and he said after listening: "He just beat the S outta that guitar." Agreed. :) |

I like my music upbeat. Keeps me in a good mood.
1. Surf/Sand/Car music: Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, Surfaris, **** Dale & the Del Tones (played in Frankie & Annette movies) "The King of the Surf Guitar", Hondells, etc. 2. Early Rock n Roll: Chuck Berry, Beatles, Elvis, Bill Haley and the Comets, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Sha Na Na, etc. 3. Psychedelic: Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Cream/Yardbirds, The Electric Prunes, Iron Butterfly, etc. 4. Heart Pumpin' music: Joan Jett, Ramones, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Beatles, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Who, Foghat, Suzi Quatro, Heart, Queen, Van Halen, etc. 5. Relaxation music: Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Neil Young, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Linda Rondstadt, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Glenn Miller, Beethoven, Bach, John Denver, Dixie Land Jazz (Satchmo-Louis Armstrong-is fantastic!), Yes, Mammas and the Pappas, etc. 6. Country Fix: Shania Twain, Statler Brothers, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Alabama, Lester Flatts & Earl Scruggs, Hank Williams, jr., Jerry Reed, .7: Something Totally Different music: Weir Al Yankovic, Dr. Dimento, Frank Zappa, The Tubes, Country Joe and the Fish, Arlo Guthrie, Ray Stevens, Dueling Banjos, Steve Martin, Sam Sham & the Pharaohs, etc., 8. Motown: Temptations, Four Tops, Jackson 5, Gladys Knights and the Pips, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Johnny Otis, Little Richard, Nat King Cole, Dianna Ross & the Supremes, Otis Redding, Sly & the Family Stone, Jimi, Little Anthony & the Imperials, Martha & the Vandellas, etc. Rap: There are only a few Rap songs that I will listen to only because they bring back memories of my time in 1)basic training (1980) "Rappers Delight" by the Sugar Hill Gang, and 2) a friend of mine, long gone, used to karaoke to "Baby got Back" by Sir Mix-a-lot. I love music!!!

My wife, Lena, and I came up with The Hardy Drinking Game. We randomize our favorites list on scamazon music and every time a Hardy song comes on, we yell HARDY! DRINK!
There's a lot of Hardy songs on the list lol.

I love music!!! Also this 52 yr old raised on the everything from the 60',s, wants to point out you probably haven't heard a new song on 30 years. Ive played music for 47 of those. Did a 3 year DJ stint in the early 90's. Roadie work for bands such as Trivium, LOG, Whitechapel, and Kittie amoung others. See, you're already lost. We like all the same stuff, but i'm not stuck in everything before 1988. Studies show new music prevents social and cognitive decline. I know you'll find something you really like after skipping all the stuff you don't. As a self-declared Codger: Codgers ignoring Samantha Fish, Men I Trust, Lainey, Morgan, Jelly, Ghost, Sleep Token, Tool are just ignoring all the music that sprang from the music they're stuck on. I'm not saying you're stuck. But I am saying you should move forward :P Half of us stick with the music we heard before we were 30, and half of us continue to have new experiences. It's an NIH study backed by multiple sources over thousands of people over tens of years. Those that don't experience significant cognitive decline post 50 years, and a several shortage of life span, an increase in loneliness, and a decrease of logical thinking and social abilities. Listen to something recorded in the last 5 years.

PPS: Shania Twain absolutely ruined country music.
That genre is just now recovering - and it took 40 years to do so. |
