I love this answer.
edit: I'm not being sarcastic or cynical. It's a great reply :)

This is not a "top of the list" suggestion but it would be fun. Is there a way that our drafts could be graded to compare how we did with our owners? I know they do it in ESPN fantasy football. I realize JDB doesn't have the employees as ESPN, but it is possible.

You mean a snap analysis of the draft picks just made or post season?

well, the post T/C progress filter makes the info obvious.
Consider: POTW, Power Rankings, etc and anything like them (including all time league players) are iffy at best.
I get where you are coming from, and it's not a bad idea.
Me, personally, I don't need the engine to re-enforce my personal thoughts about how bad or good a draft was post T/C.

Let's fix how many players bust in everyone's drafts, work towards having more draft pics that have some median development or regression instead of the vast majority of draftees busting, and the incredibly small remainder booming.

Let's double the number of draftees available. Same generation - just double the number of players generated for the draft.

Especially now that positions lock whenever they lock. - like i know positions lock but i have no idea when they lock.

Simple answer is there's a default set of values in the position matrix; they locked from the time the matrix came in.

Things change when the admin makes a change and presses save button.

INteresting.
WOuld you please expand, martin?

EDIT: Like, I want the difficult answer, please. :)

Second edit: Glitchy Kitties want to know: What is it, When is it determined? How can I manipulate it? Which (who) players are affected and and where in the season is "the Matrix" permanent?

PLease and thank you. Grateful for all you do for the community and i appreciate your knowledge.

Having taken over admin of NFL league (still learning everything), as admin you can go into the matrix. Pill colour unknown.

It's a two dimensional table - player positions in rows on the left, position type as columns, namely player positions, ST roles.

So you can select, say for a RB, positions of RB, TE, WR. Even select LT if admin wanted to do so. Add PR, KR in too.

These don't update the matrix immediately, you have to press the save position.

EDIT: My expectation would be that moving the player to a position would be blocked by the rule change - at least server side - because there should be a network call to the server to do the check.

My presumption is that once the change is saved to the database, it's immediately implemented and the matrix is then locked until next edit.

May be wrong on that, too tired to test it out ;).
