I have an offer out where it will not let me offer a single dollar more for every season, on some of the seasons I enter exactly the amount it says is the max but it won't let me offer that contract, it forces me to go one lower. What I noticed though is that another team was able to offer 1 dollar more on the total amount than the game is allowing me to do. I was wondering what is going on here?

For reference this is in MFN16, and the player is Free Agent Travis Karns.

I had a max, max offer as well. I went to tweak it to go up a few dollars and my bid went down. I don't know what's going on.

I really like to hear from JBD on this issue, I lost out on this guy because some issue with offering contracts allowed another player to offer literally one more dollar on the total contract value, I am not sure how because I put in everything the game would allow. If I had simply been outbid that would not be an issue, but in this case I feel as though it was not quite a level playing field.

I'm not sure I follow, everyone has exactly the same tools - it's entering in the numbers manually will give you more control than the sliders do, but the responses (the player must have a min of X, or the bonus must be at least Y or no more than Z) should not vary from one user to another.

When I attempted to enter a max, max contract manually, I ended up with a lower bid than one of my friends that did the same things (and won the player). I'm not sure what I would have done wrong.

Same, additionally it will tell you to lower an offer because the max is such and such amount, but you have that exact number entered.

I'm having this same issue in MFN-19. I'm offering the max, the pop-up is states offer can't be above x, but x is the exact amount offered. Is there a workaround to this?
