I'm having this same issue in MFN-19. I'm offering the max, the pop-up is states offer can't be above x, but x is the exact amount offered. Is there a workaround to this?

The message you're getting is 'Total offer for [year] cannot exceed $[value]'?
Are you using the slider? If you look down at the table below does the base + bonus on the line for that year exceed the amount it's telling you not to exceed?

In my case, it was exactly that amount. This is the same bug that I ran into before that caused me to miss out on a 95+ QB where I was outbid by $1.

I tell you what. I won't bid on the first day. If you get him on the first day, you get him. I'd be shocked given how long priority FAs have been waiting to sign in other leagues though.
