Watch how this monster TE with 76 SP and 35/50 Break Tackle goes beast mode on my defense. For the record, here's the tackling ability of the first FIVE guys that have a chance to tackle him:

first guy - 92
second guy - 83/100
third guy - 70/95
fourth guy (first guy again) - 92 tackling
fifth guy - 59/67

Then escapes a gang tackle by four of the five guys above.

Defenders are ALWAYS out of position when making a tackle and offensive players break tackles far too easily. I'm pretty sure that JDB has said that SP affects break tackling. This should be changed.

I like seeing plays like that every once in a while. If this player did that all game I'd have an issue. If this was the only time it happened with him I'm fine with it.

But, I fall on the side of rather having too many broken/missed tackles than none.

It makes the game seem more life-like in my opinion, as opposed to the "this icon touched that icon therefore player is tackled" type of presentation that comes with many of the plays.

There are a lot of factors that go into "broken tackles" though, and I don't think that right now it's a well represented part of the game. If we look at someone like "Beast Mode" Lynch, he was able to break tackles because he had a rare combination of speed, lower body strength, physical weight, low center of gravity, and hip drive. Most of his "broken tackles" were really him pushing the scrum 5, 10, 50 yards down the field. We don't have a lot of that in MFN right now. Instead, we have offensive players bouncing off defenders immediately getting back up to full speed and then doing the same thing to the next defender. As much as I want to see broken tackles occasionally, I want to see my defenders play like they have a brain and can wrap up more.

On a side note:

I want to see this in real life!

It's amazing how nobody seems to know how to tackle any more. It's all about "hitting" someone instead of wrapping them up and taking them to the ground.

This is why I'm still a believer in Hawk Tackling.
